Hey Tiger was one of my first inspirations when I was doing market research before the launch of Hey Good Thing. Their branding & messaging caught my eye, but it was their purpose and close alignment with my vision for a for-purpose gifting business that really excited me.

 

But just as I was placing my first orders for the Hey Good Thing launch, Hey Tiger announced they couldn't keep going any more. They just couldn't maintain a viable business in the chocolate industry, while operating under a social enterprise model.

 

This for-purpose/social enterprise space is not all a bed of roses. The need to make a profit to stay afloat, while remaining true to the purpose as the core reason for the business is a constant juggle. For Hey Tiger, it all came to a standstill last year.

 

The great news is that Hey Tiger is back! This do-good for-purpose chocolate brand is back doing great things in the ethical chocolate space. Plus, they donate 2% of every block sold to their partner, The Hunger Project.
